A: The services provided by Harmony At Home are much more comprehensive and diverse than traditional counseling. As an innovative, next-generation service provider, we have to wait for insurance companies to expand past the traditional mold. Although these services are being recognized and provided by state-funded private agencies, they are typically only available to those on public-assisted insurance. Therefore, our customers choose the level and intensity of service that will be of optimum benefit to their child while also remaining affordable to them.
A: All those who work with children must first have a criminal background check. A federal fingerprint (or BCI report) as well as a CORI check are available to all customers for inspection.
A: At an initial meeting, the circumstances of your particular situation are discussed, as well as the goals you would like to see achieved. You'll then be given an initial ISP (Individualized Service Plan) as a proposal, outlining the plan for services as well as the fee schedule. Once you are satisfied with the proposal for services, a formal ISP is designed with input from you and your child. The ISP serves as an agreement of all of us to do each of our outlined participation in order to work towards the goals that have been identified.
A: Each situation is different and services are custom-tailored to your individual needs. Services can be as simple as after-school mentorship or tackling behavior issues at school. However, most issues don't exist in a vaccuum. There is often a systemic cause-and-effect which means that all areas will typically need to be adressed to a certain extent. Again, this is determined at the initial meeting.
